Shenandoah Valley National Park

Our second National park in 2 days! This has been a great weekend! Isn't it gorgeous?

We took in some amazing views and gorgeous hikes! Oh and don't let me forget to tell you that we saw a bear! I know Tim has seen tons in the wild but I think this is my first at least this close. Our trailhead started about .2 of a mile from our bear sighting! Crazy! We were extra cautious on our hike! We kept our eyes peeled...it made it even more fun! We all agreed we would throw Conner to the Bears and take off! :0)

Our first hike was down to this creek bed that had small water falls! so pretty! This picture does not do it justice!

We found these type of vines on Thomas Jefferson Island and we found them again here! They create so much fun!

Lots of monkeys swinging on these vines!

We took a different hike just to find these boulders! They were amazing! There were gorges to hike over as well.

This pic was taken on the "throne"to Kaitlyn's right and in front of them is a huge drop off into this deep ravine! This gets my heart racing just looking at it!

He LOVES to climb! This vine is just a rope to him and he scurrying right up to the top! I love how they explore!
We spent a great day in God's beautiful creation!
