Budapest, Hungary and Vienna, Austria

I finally had the opportunity to accompany Tim on a work trip! Tim's mom came to take over at home so I could enjoy this trip! This was the first time in I am not sure that I didn't have any kids with me! Tim had to work 4 out of the 10 days we were away!
View from the Citadel! The Danube River runs right through the middle of Budapest!
This is our view from our room. At night, The Royal Palace, Citadel, Parliament, and the Matthias Church is lit up!
Fisherman's Bastion
The Royal Palace
The Chain Bridge
Parliament
This is a picture I took from the inside of our boat during the River Cruise.

Above and below are pictures of The Great Market Hall! It is crazy all the fresh food sold here.
There are several Roman Baths that are still used here! There are several Hot Springs that feed these baths! Pictures weren't allowed in there but oh my goodness it was gorgeous! This one we went to was called Gellert! I was in awe of it all!

A little bit of flavor! While we were there it was Easter. It is a National Holiday. They get Sunday and Monday off to celebrate! There were so many fairs, outside shopping and food!
GELLATO!!! This place that we frequented created their cones like roses. Three different flavors and oh so good!

So Monday through Thurs. I did all my sightseeing by myself while Tim was at work! I was exhausted! I walked soo much! I actually slept in every day and then started the exploration!
Margaret Island had these ruins that I explored. I knew K and C would have so much fun running through these ruins!

Matthias Church
When Tim was done with work, we took the train to Vienna, Austria. We had been here together years ago..before kids so it was fun to explore together again!

 A little stuffed cabbage
Back in Budapest for our last night! We had a great view from the Bistro where we ate dinner!

We were so blessed with this opportunity. It was a great time to reconnect and enjoy each other! We are so thankful for Tim's mom to be willing to take on the challenge of watching our four angels!
